The Living Museum

The grand vision of The Mabel Mercer Foundation is a New York City entertainment and learning center for cabaret. Featuring performance spaces, classrooms, rehearsal/recording studios, and archival space, The Mabel Mercer Foundation facility will function as a “living” museum where the artistry of Mabel Mercer and the cabaret world are preserved and present-day activities that advance this endangered art form are promoted. Planned events include nightly cabaret performances, artist and cabaret marketing master classes, scholarly research and rehearsal/recording sessions.
